It's one of the last meetings on the European flat racing calendar, and for some, it's the best. Not many spectator sports deliver such a sustained rush of adrenalin, as does the sight of horses and riders thundering down the final 500-metre straight in the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe. There's also the added attraction of the scenic Longchamp Hippodrome racetrack with the Eiffel Tower in the background, the beauty of Paris in autumn and, of course, the style and panache you'd expect from a truly Parisian occasion!
